Monday the first day of the week – the day when things start new. I hope everyone had a wonderful Thanksgiving with family – a time to eat to much, laugh to much, watch to much football and maybe slip in one nap.
As we begin this week and start that march to the most wonderful day of all the birthday of our savior I will like to give you this thought for the day – How can I share the light of Christ today?
Yes, this is the perfect time to focus on sharing that light as we shop and prepare for the Lord’s Birth. As you go to work, school or just at Walmart remember to share that light. May your day and week be blessed.
I know it is hard to believe but we are in Thanksgiving week. What a great time to stop and pray for all of our new pilgrims. Pray that this holiday season will be better for them than ever before.
As you sit around your dinner table on Thanksgiving look at the faces of all of those you love and give God thanks for them in your life.
I know it may seem early but there will be more walks next year (and that is not that far off) do you see or know a family member that you would like to sponsor? Just think about it and pray about it – Happy Thanksgiving.
Fourth day followup will be Tuesday November 13, 6:30 pm at The Church at Stone River in Decatur ( 3014 Danville Road Southwest) We will share a potluck meal, hear from the pilgrims of Walk #33.
Board elections will be held at the Tuesday November 13 gathering. If you feel called to serve on the board, please talk to any current board member or Bill Crouch, the Lay Director for 2019. If you would like to nominate someone, discuss with them NOW so that they may pray about it and be prepared for the election on November 13. Please keep this new board and our community in your prayers as we move into 2019.
Upcoming walks: Pilgrim applications are being received NOW for 2019 walks. Share these dates early so people can mark it on their calendar:
